From the reviews

We came as part of a group for a wedding the weekend before the 4th of July holiday and so the island ferry and traffic added to the stress, but once arrived all was blissful. Our assigned unit was extremely comfortable and enjoyable even without a real water view.

Have your wedding here! If you like the water, the outdoors, the beach, chill people and avoiding the wedding industrial complex, this is the place for you. We looked at so many venues, and none came close to this place. Guemes Island is easily accessible with a short ferry ride, yet you feel far away from the city.

Our stay at Guemes Island Resort was exceptional, and the Patos Cabin was the perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and island charm. The cabin feels thoughtfully designed, featuring a private hot tub and a luxurious steam shower—both incredible perks after a day of exploring the island.

Spent a weekend away with friends. It was the recharge we all needed. Enjoyed being on the water. Loved walking up and down the beach. Lots of fun sea life to enjoy. Kids enjoyed being able to run freely around the property with out the worry of traffic. Cabins were fine- clearly aging and well used but clean.

Getting married at Guemes Island Resort

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
