I played the Ocean Course, and it’s one of the most beautiful links courses ever! The fairways and greens are pretty wide, and the course is nicely designed. It looks like the greens were punched a few days ago, and some bunkers hadn’t fully drained after the storm, so I couldn’t fully enjoy the round.
Played The Old Course for the first time today. I loved it. Beautiful interesting parkland course. Challenging until the greens which were pretty flat and rolling very pure. Not crazy fast just true. Amazing conditions. Friendly staff. I had a horrific round at Ocean years ago and it scarred me.
We played the Ocean course and it was just as fun as Pebble but 1/3 the price. The greens were excellent. Do note that there is no range here. I wanted to take a point off this review to that but I did play very well that day in spite of it. Perhaps the range is overrated...
My favorite course (Ocean) thus far. Fun holes. Wide fairways. Great ocean views, last 3 finishing holes are unmatched.
Getting married at Half Moon Bay Golf Links
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
