We went to this hotel specifically not to stay here but because we knew the views of half Moon Bay were fantastic!! We did go here and have some light snacks and drinks but we were here mostly to spend time on the beach the weather was beautiful and spending time with family is just priceless !
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay remains the gold standard for Northern California coastal hospitality. During my recent stay, the property’s ability to pair dramatic, rugged landscape design with uncompromising service excellence was, as expected, flawless.
One of the best getaway stays however it’s very secluded. If you don’t like to be on your own, that might not be the place. However, the sunset view is breathtaking. The dine and options are great.
Getting married at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
