I've been coming to Hanalei for many years and this place may be the best/nicest Hanalei stay I've ever had. It's sort of half way between a fancy 5-star hotel like One Hotel and a nice vacation rental.

This is our new favorite place to stay in Kauai. We love the North Shore, but wanted an alternative to the Princeville area. The Hanalei River cottage’s setting on the river is spectacular - you wake up every morning to incredible views out of every window.
This place was amazing! The location was super ideal for us; very close to multiple great restaurant options, cute shops, food markets, Hanalei Pier, Black Pot Beach, and literally being beside the Hanalei River itself. The property is extremely well set up for families, i.e.
Getting married at Hanalei River Cottages
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
