From the reviews
I loved that they had hand sanitizer on every floor & tons of fans so that it wasn't hot like a lot of lighthouses. They had history such as Coast Guard info, building of the lighthouse, and other facts on every single floor to take a break & read.
First of all, I hope they are paying Liam the Social media manager of the Harbour lighthouse well, because some of these reviews are absolutely ridiculous and he must have his hands full. This place does not deserve the hate.
Harbour Town Lighthouse in South Carolina is a must-visit spot! Climbing the 114 stairs is totally worth it for the beautiful views at the top. The entry fee is $7.50, kids under a certain age are free, and there’s a $9 vehicle fee when you enter the resort area.
The light house was great! We had a several families with us. The stairs weren't too much. They have a lot of learning facts on every stair platform and all throughout the walls. The kids loved looking and reading about various points in history. I would definitely recommend! The view was spectacular.
Getting married at Harbour Town Lighthouse
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
