I'm from out of town and we just had our wedding here. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The Assembly building was so wonderful and allowed us access for all three days! What other wedding venue allows that?
I attended a wedding reception here. I have to say, the reception was beautiful...but the views were gorgeous! The display of different shells was pretty nest as well. I felt privileged to be in such good company, with an amazing view, and surrounded by an abundance of history.
I loved having my wedding reception at the Assembly Building! The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. It was great to be able to bring in our own vendors and have a blank slate to make it exactly how we wanted!
We rented the building for our son’s wedding reception. The manager was very informative and accommodating. The staff at the museum were so nice and made everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend!!!
Getting married at Historical Society of Topsail Island
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
