The resort is in a perfect location. Beach nearby, plenty of walking paths, lots of things to do. Property is well kept up but it is an older complex but still very nice. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away for a pleasant vacation.
Pleasantly surprised! Amazing room and views. Pulling up to the hotel, the outer appearance had me a bit nervous and wondering what I had booked. However, the moment I stepped into the room, I was completely won over. It was immaculate, beautifully updated, and felt like a totally different world from the outside.
Staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt like valued guests. Valerie and Carolyn and Kim all found ways to make our stay more enjoyable, in both what they do and how they do it, enhancing our overall experience significantly. As for the hotel, itself, I would like to see beach access that is ADA compliant.
FANTASTIC VIEW OF THE OCEAN! I believe this hotel has the best ocean views, it is in the middle of the island. There are two restaurants within walking distance. Dog friendly! Clean rooms, ac worked great, beds were comfy and staff was very friendly too.
Getting married at Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island by IHG
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
