The Homer Seaplane Base is absolutely amazing! We were booked multiple cabins this past week while celebrating our family reunion. This property offers modern spacious accommodations, with such friendly staff, in the most gorgeous setting.
A gem in Homer! Look no further! I just wrapped up a two night stay here and could not be more impressed. Absolutely superb! Cody and Nena are warm, welcoming, and attentive. The property has spectacular views and the room accommodations are simply perfect.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the Alderwood Cabin! The cabins are like new, clean and in a great location close to town, grocery store and the spit. Take a tour while you are there with Beryl Air and no need to get up early and drive to find it - you are right there.
Getting married at Homer Seaplane Base
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
