My son had a medical conference here once for a few days. It is a beautiful location. The meals we shared here were delicious. I walked all around this wonderful historic property. It's a little expensive so we slept at a different less expensive hotel.
The recent renovations are outstanding, especially the grounds. having a courtyard instead of a parking lot with "The Views" adds to the ambiance of the site. Stayed at the Victorian oceanfront 3rd floor. As mentioned in other reviews this place is a hotbed of activity. We went end of April.

A truly special place. We love The Hotel del Coronado—perfect for families or a romantic couples’ getaway. They host fantastic private and corporate events, and the dining options are great, both on property and within easy walking distance.
Getting married at Hotel del Coronado
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
