From the reviews
Absolutely top-tier experience at Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa. Booked a day pass specifically for the spa and ended up spending the entire day there — easily one of the best decisions I’ve made in San Diego. The spa is the standout: quiet, clean, and actually built for real relaxation.
This place is beautiful and is resort style living at its best! The infrastructure is a little dated, but with all the refurbishments in the rooms and other spaces, you can't really tell. The location is about the best you can get in the entire San Diego area. The views of SD from Coronado are amazing!
We had an exceptional stay at the Marriott Coronado. The hotel was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained, making it a relaxing place to stay. The views were stunning, and the easy access to the waterfront made it even more enjoyable to explore the area.
The staff is incredible, no complaints there. They're friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated, the hotel looks like it was built in 1990 and never updated. Everything is old. My room was kind of musty and had ants which was not great. The location is great, great views. It's just the rooms are kind of whatever.
Getting married at Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
