This is a beautiful botanical garden. It is meticulously maintained. It is more formal than many I have visited, with a great many rectangular beds, poured concrete steps, an interesting drainage system and a square plaza. A great many of the plants are well labeled with both common and scientific names.
They collaborate with Mendocino botanical gardens and it shows. This park is larger with miles of trails going into the redwoods. Staff are friendly and helpful. Quite a few people coming in to paint the lush scenery. A lovely place to stop by en route to the bay
