This is truly a magical place to have a special occasion. The relaxed ambience of the redwood barn and grounds was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The barn has a saloon and dance floor. The ocean view is breathtaking. Additionally, there's an incredible cottage that can be rented with or without the barn.
We cannot say enough about this magical setting and gracious host! When we first discovered this gem, we were utterly enchanted. Our wedding was beautiful, the ocean views from the meadow were spectacular, and the beautiful redwood barn created the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. Our guests had a blast!
This was truly a 10 star experience! My daughter and son-in-law were married here recently. The venue was beautiful, the view of the ocean was gorgeous. Every step of the way Heidi, the owner, was there making sure things were running smoothly. She was just fabulous!
Absolutely fabulous! Beautiful venue, friendly owner who is extremely helpful. The barn is perfect for any life changing celebration or family reunion. You can not beat the view.
Getting married at North Coast Hitching Post
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
