I’ve been staying at this hotel since it opened and have consistently enjoyed stellar service, above-average accommodations, and the unmistakable warmth of Lewes—not just from summer sunshine, but also from its quaint destinations, beautiful beaches, and excellent dining.
I stay here a few times a year during the off season, Nov through April. I recently stayed here with husband and lil dog for the New Years Holiday. We had the most relaxing time: quiet, awesome breakfasts, clean and spacious, the most welcoming and dedicated staff too.
We visited the area last week and absolutely loved our stay. The rooms were very clean, the staff was wonderful, and the location was perfect. Our only concern was with follow-up regarding an extended stay. My daughter will be in the area for work for 4 months, so we reached out to inquire about extended stay options.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
