I had my wedding reception here 14 years ago so I have a soft spot for this hotel with its amazing views. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the newly renovated rooms and restaurant.
I stayed here 3 nights for a work trip and had an excellent experience. The concierge and valets were great at all hours. I had an excellent view from my room of the river. I ate at the bar twice, both times were quite nice and reasonably priced.
Second time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and it just keeps getting better! The location is absolutely incredible. The Park transit system is right next door and ferries within walking distance in a whiff you can be at the 9/11 Memorial or Wall Street in Manhattan. Statue of Liberty just 2 miles away!

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
