This was a spur of the moment last-minute trip to the Jersey shore, and I’m glad we did it. The property was recommended by a friend who had his wedding there. Before warrant, that is a common event, and there were actually two weddings during our stay which magnifies the hotels population and minimize the parking…
The icona was definitely a fantastic stay. From the check-in to check out. Everyone was super nice. The rooms were very clean and the amenities were great. I had amazing room service as well too from the Avalon pub that's downstairs located nearby their entryway. I hope I got her name right.

All my love to Jonathan! We started our stay at Icona Diamond Beach, where we were horrified to find a murky green pool after specifically booking our stay the weekend we were told the pool would open.
Getting married at ICONA Avalon
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
