From the reviews
Perfect location with staff and service to match. We stayed one night after coming in from Logan, and it was a delight. The hotel location, rooms, staff and service were all top notch. An extra big thank you to the reception staff which were an absolute pleasure.
We had a great stay at the InterContinental Boston. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and in a great location. It’s also walking distance from the train station, which was very convenient for us since we came in from New York by train. We were upgraded to a suite, which was perfect for our family.
Right on the waterfront,so the location really doesn’t get much better, you can easily walk to Faneuil Hall, the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, and the Freedom Trail without any hassle. The real highlight, though,is the harbor view, we always request a harbor-facing room and it never disappoints.
I stayed in this hotel many many times over the years. They did lots of renenovstions recently, especially to the lobby, bars and restaurants. Some rooms still require updates, but its work in progress. Best location ever! Sits between the older side of Boston and the vibrant Seaport, all walking distance (15-30min).
Getting married at InterContinental Boston by IHG
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
