From the reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Island Bay Resort and their staff are truly unmatched—an absolute dream venue! Choosing Island Bay Resort as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was something special.
We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful experience! The second you drive through the gates at Island Bay Resort, you feel like you've entered your own private paradise. It's extremely well kept, with beautiful grounds. The decor is adorable, and fits the tropical beach vibe to a tee.
We really enjoyed our short stay at Island Bay Resort. My only suggestion would be for people to research and understand what you are booking. This is a small resort. But very well kept, clean, and peaceful. Rooms, small (we knew this before booking) but clean and stocked with basic needs. Heard no noise at night.
Spent two nights. Great location, especially if you’re going to do activities in Islamorada or Key Largo. Room and grounds were very clean and well kept. Beautiful place to watch the sunsets. Nice to have use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Staff is very attentive and helpful.
Getting married at Island Bay Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
