From the reviews
We love coming to this beach, driving over an hour each way. We set up with a tent, snacks and water. But we also frequent The Point, a restaurant nearby overlooking the lake. It's near a boat lunch and we see everything from boats to ski jets motoring around. This creates fun waves at the shore.
My recent visit to Island View Park left me thoroughly impressed and rejuvenated. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, this park offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This park is an absolute gem tucked away along the shores of Lake Texoma. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with breathtaking views of the lake and its breeze.
Now that schools are out and summer vacations are starting, think about visiting Island View Park. Covered shelters are now $40.(prices subject to change) There are only 10 and the go quickly. If you are interested in one for your visit, look at doing reservations online.
Getting married at Island View Park
Island View Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
