From the reviews
We stayed in cabin14. It was lovely, newly built and right next to the water. Staff was incredible! We spent one full day at the Island View Park nearby. It was so fun and perfect for families. I would only caution not to count on the pull out couch for a true bed.
I recently hosted a party at Lighthouse Resort, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the outstanding service and support I received throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, the staff, especially Cortney Gumm, made everything incredibly simple and stress-free.
10/10 can not praise this place enough. I had out of state friends come stay with me, and the staff at Lighthouse went above and beyond to help me give them a weekend of a life time. We booked a private cruise on Friday night, and the entire experience was so beautiful. The sunset view on the lake is unmatched.
I give it a full 5 stars not because its a millionaires resort but because its one of few places north of DFW that has such a quaint feel to it and its location is as close to perfect as I could describe.
Getting married at Lighthouse Resort & Marina
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
