From the reviews
The Islander Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding! We wanted a beachfront wedding, and we were very excited to have the ceremony, reception, and rooms all in one place. We were even able to have our rehearsal on the beach and the rehearsal dinner in the conference room.
I stayed here for a 6 day retreat and it was lovely! Staff was accomendating for our group, very friendly. Rooms were nice and updated, great location to the beach! I am a senior lady with some hip issues, taking a shower is challenging getting in and out.
Staff is friendly and personable. My room is clean and comfortable. It is directly on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. I believe the rate for the room is reasonable and affordable. I have a king sized bed and it is very comfortable. The a/c and heater unit is quiet.
I stay at the Islander Hotel & Resort a couple times each year when I come into town for work. The only thing I'm ever disappointed about is that I can't stay longer! The rooms are large and clean, with beach access that can't be beat. The staff is super helpful and friendly.
Getting married at Islander Hotel & Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
