From the reviews
We recently had our wedding at Koa Kea with a reception dinner at their onsite restaurant, Red Salt. We had an amazing experience with the resort and truly appreciate all they did to assist with the planning and set up for the wedding and dinner. Joanna was very responsive, professional and a true joy to work with.
My wife and I had one of the most positive hotel experiences we’ve ever had at Koa Kea. The smaller scale of the hotel sets it apart. It offers everything you need while still feeling intimate and relaxed. We loved that we could unwind by the pool or explore the island without feeling tied to a large resort.
This resort is phenomenal! The staff is above and beyond! I love the way they take care of every guest. They made our wedding and stay so amazing! We will be back and recommend them to everyone.
We loved our stay at koa kea. It has a beautiful view, is much more serene and quiet than the surrounding resorts, and still offers great beach access and snorkeling just out front of the hotel. We particularly thought the service went above and beyond, especially Ian, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
Getting married at Koʻa Kea Resort on Poipu Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
