From the reviews
I found Kona Kai Resort on Google, and the experience was exactly what I hoped for. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Surrounded by greenery, close to the water, with clean pools and plenty of complimentary services, it truly felt effortless and enjoyable.
This was our first stop in the keys! My husband and I spent two nights in the Passion Fruit suite and it was such a nice retreat for us (from NY). Kona Kai was exactly the kind of experience we wanted, lowkey, relaxing, and such a calming view.
We’re still here, but I couldn’t wait to write this review because our experience has been that good. My cousin and I are staying at Kona Kai in the Pineapple Suite, and everything has been amazing. Service is truly a 10/10 every single person we’ve interacted with has been incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The world for this resort is: INCREDIBLE. It truly was an amazing experience! I chose Kona Kai for my elopement, and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Everything was beyond perfect. The staff is kind, professional, and incredibly well-prepared.
Getting married at Kona Kai Resort, Gallery and Botanic Gardens
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
