La Plage is a first rate dining experience. We have dined there several times and the location, food selection/preparation/presentation and service have been unerringly excellent. The Osso Buco is one of the two best braised shank preparations I’ve ever had. Please see the photos for our latest experience.
We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at LaPlage last evening and had a wonderful time. Bartender Janine's Guava Collins was a perfectly balanced cocktail - not sweet; not bitter. The shrimp cocktail was boiled and chilled to order, and was excellent.
Simply perfect! I definitely recommend checking this place out. The French-American cuisine, complete with signature dishes, was superb! My favorite was Duck Leg Confit (Fresh Chive Risotto, Truffle Essence, Exotic Mushrooms). The dessert was also very enjoyable. We will definitely come again.
Getting married at La Plage
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
