Absolutely live coming to Lake Park when I come to visit this way. My husband and I got married here. It's such a beautiful park that has seen a ton of improvements over the years. Always worth the drive.
Shhhhh! If you tell everyone how nice Lake Front Park in Huron, Ohio (Lake Erie) actually is it will become way too crowded. It's better to keep it a secret. This beautiful city park with paved paths, benches, and grassy areas with large shade trees flows directly to a clean sunny sand beach.
Growing up my grandparents had a cottage 4 miles east of Huron (Strawberry Fields) and unfortunately it is no more, so I wanted somewhere close to bring me as near and dear as I could to the cottage and this place is pretty much it. Although, last year, I did stumble upon Old Women’s Creek beach.
I stumbled upon this little gem cruising back home to Toledo... Best sunset I've seen in Ohio hands down. It was busy and full of beautiful couples watching the sunsets together.... Friends and restaurant goers all watched together. Truly beautiful and a blessed moment I will never forget.
