If you're looking to soak in the full downtown Marquette experience, the Landmark is the spot. I stayed here for nearly 10 days while in town for work, and it delivered a memorable mix of old-school charm and modern comforts. Though the rooms are fairly simple, the views from most windows are absolutely stunning.
The Landmark Inn is a gorgeous location! We were there for a wedding and everything about our experience was wonderful. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Everything we needed was in walking distance. I took a walk by the water on a beautiful fall morning and the views did not disappoint!
We did not stay here but stopped to eat at the restaurant inside. First off the hotel is absolutely stunning inside! Reminiscent of when it was first built, the building has kept its old school charm in an updated atmosphere. Food was delicious and staff was super friendly.
Stayed in the Superior Suite at the Landmark Inn for my wife’s birthday. We planned to go out, but once we settled in, we didn’t want to leave. Amazing views, a great clawfoot tub, and the restaurant and cocktail bar were both excellent. Being able to just wander between the two was a nice bonus.
Getting married at Landmark Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
