Larsmont Cottages offers an incredible experience that’s perfect for both couples seeking a romantic getaway and families looking to reconnect. Set right on the shores of Lake Superior, the property boasts serene views of the water and the rugged beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore.
We recently stayed at Larsmont to celebrate our fifth anniversary, and we had an absolutely wonderful stay! The staff was friendly, and courteous. Grant was especially helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible!
A really lovely resort run by caring and kind people right on the shores of the beautiful Lake Superior. I attended here for their Sauna Days event two years running at the start of May and it's not to be missed! They have loads of saunas a short walk from a dip in the lake.
Getting married at Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
