Everything was so perfect here! The beach is walking distance from the hotel and only a short drive to the dog beach which is super convenient if you are traveling with a dog like we were. Special shout out to Abigail for assisting us with our booking, she was amazing!! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I have stayed at L’Auberge several times and it’s such a fantastic experience! The hotel is so cozy, boujee (in a good way), and has a friendly atmosphere. Location is great, just a short walk from the beach (lots of scenic views) and close to so many restaurants and shops.
L'Auberge Del Mar is the kind of property that sells the Del Mar lifestyle better than any listing sheet ever could. I've used their terrace lounge as a client meeting spot on multiple occasions while touring homes along Coast Boulevard and the surrounding bluffs.
Getting married at L'Auberge Del Mar
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
