We attended a wedding ceremony here this past weekend and it was gorgeous. The facility is clean an nice and has stunning views. I highly recommend using it for any future events you may have!
This is the most BEAUTIFUL wedding venue in San Diego, I feel!!! We had direct access to the beach to do our portraits, and could enjoy our time at the venue, the park, and the beach at the same time. We were able to do our cocktail hour up above during the sunset so our guests had a beautiful view of the beach.
As a wedding photographer and videographer, I absolutely love working at the Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center. The stunning oceanfront backdrop provides a natural, artistic charm that elevates every photo and video we capture.
Nice clean place for a wedding of about 100. Plenty of chairs, tables, and lovely view. They have an ADA lift inside as well.
Getting married at Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
