The lighthouse Beach is extremely clean, they even have a handicap path made out of some kind of blue material that would make it extremely easy for people in wheelchairs to have access to the beach. This little path even makes it easier to walk onto the beach if you want to get up by the water.
Beautiful, well kept beach! A great place to walk, watch the ships and water or for a family picnic. No dogs allowed on the beach. The lighthouse is great! But it wasn't open when I went so I couldn't tour the inside. I'll definitely go again.

I love port Huron in general but being near the water is my favorite. The lighthouse beach is one of my favorite Huron beaches 🏖️ the water is always clear each time I've been, very rocky but beautiful near the shore (bring water shoes), it does get busy with crowds in the late afternoon on the weekends but not with…
Getting married at Lighthouse Beach
Lighthouse Beach is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
