This resort was recommended by our friends that live in the area, and we are so thankful. Although Layton is a little quieter of a town, it was located about 15 minutes from Islamorada and Marathon for nightlife and shopping. We stayed in a 3BR Townhome, and the accommodations couldn't have been better for our family.
I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or requests.
Stayed here for spring break with the family on the “beach side” of the property, so I can’t speak to the rooms or amenities on the other side of the road. However, we had a wonderful experience. Room was clean and spacious. Views were incredible. Beautiful sunsets every evening.

Getting married at Lime Tree Bay Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
