We have been to this hotel several times, on first meeting my husband, on our first anniversary, on relationship milestones...and we just keep coming back! The service is unmatched and incredible! The rooms are always sparkling clean and the Whirlpool rooms are devine! They even made a lil welcome basket for our pup!
We stayed at this hotel for one night last minute decision to stay at the beach and it was so worth it! We had our dog with us and they are pet friendly. The hotel was clean, friendly staff and THEY PROVIDE BOX FANS!
We an amazing Gem! We really enjoyed our stay at the looking glass in. We booked on Expedia with no idea of the actual location, and we were pleasantly surprised! We came for our anniversary trip, and it was on the exact same beach where we got married. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Our favorite place to stay on the coast! Located right on Taft Bay, this hotel offers easy beach access and great views. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and always willing to check for upgrades or room switches if available. Close to a food cart pod, beer hall and various local restaurants / shopping.
Getting married at Looking Glass Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
