Rooms are well designed and well maintained. Hotel is right on the beach with balconies on the beach side. Hallways are enclosed, which makes for a less buggy environment. Pool is adequate, but could use some TLC. Hot tub gets hot, but is small, old, and the jets don't work.
This is a very nice hotel. My suite had a king and queen size bed. They were located in two separate rooms separated by the bathroom. The shower was clean, but water pressure was very weak. The furnishings need to be updated. I also had a balcony overlooking the lake. It's in a great location just off of Main Street.
Nice clean rooms with walkout balcony and sitting area. Beach was good. Water levels are down right now. Nice view of Lake Huron as well as the mackinaw bridge. Price wasn’t bad. 1st floor recommended because of the amount of walking to get to the beach and your vehicle.
Enjoy the hotel tremendously I come back to it often. Friendly staff very courteous. The rooms are clean. The views are great.
Getting married at Mackinaw Beach & Bay Inn & Suites

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
