This is an amazing site! The rv sites are beautiful- fire pits and bbq, trees, grass and lots of space between you and the next site over. It's about a (flat) mile walk to the beach. It's very quiet and so relaxing.
We had such a wonderful stay at KOA Manchester Beach! The campground is clean, well-organized, and has everything you need for a comfortable camping trip. Our site had a picnic table, fire pit, and grill, making it easy to cook and relax outdoors.
This KOA RV park is one of the better ones we've stayed at. Off the bat, we had solid good Wi-fi even at heavy use time in the evening. To me, it definitely rates as KOA Resort level. Very kid friendly. Activities over memorial day wknd included hay rides, kereoke. Family kitchen for those who are tent camping.
Outstanding destination. Our motorcycle group stayed here two years in a row and had an outstanding experience each time. The staff are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. From this area you have access to some of northen California's most beautiful roads.
Getting married at Manchester Beach / Mendocino Coast KOA Journey
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
