Excellent staff, great food and beautiful views. The lodge was getting a new roof when I was there but it didnt impact my stay. Several staff members made a memorable impact on my stay in a good way. Tina in the restaurant is a gem, but I really was impressed by several.
I absolutely love this location. there is everything to love about it. there is so much walking and scenery. the cabins are spacious and loving. there were some issues with the shower but other than that, it was a great time. the rooms are in serious need of remodel but I am saying that with love.
This is the ONLY real resort in Northwest, Ohio. Great food, rooms, service, lake and a beach. What else could you want. Oh...and the best sunsets you will find anywhere. If it makes any difference, ask for Tina at their Water's Edge restaurant. She's the very best.
Getting married at Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
