From the reviews
This is such a charming and quaint place to just relax and take in the gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. The sunsets here are stunning, and there is seating throughout the property to view from a plethora of different angles and places.
The rooms are quaint and cute. We didn't spend much time in the room. I don't remember seeing TV and on the weekend a hair dryer was in the locked office. BUT THE LOCATION!!! It's amazing! The Farmer's Market in Montague was adorable. The private deck was a favorite feature!
Amazing place for families to get away from city life and work. The resort is located in a very beautiful area with scenic views to Lake Michigan. Staff are nice and friendly taking care of the resort professionally. There are many activities for adults and young children.
Michillinda Lodge is absolutely the perfect spot to spend time. We had 11 family members rent Cabins A, B and C for a family vacation. This place is the best. It is an older resort with charm and many great amenities.
Getting married at Michillinda Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
