My boyfriend and I have been searching for our perfect getaway spot at the beach for years as we both love the Washington coast and after several stays at other places we have found our spot here. First the service was perfect!
We walked in without reservations and Erika got us a room (7-my favorite number), she worked at giving us a discount and handed the keys right then around 11am. She said we could check right in. She offered to show us the room first before we agreed to the stay.
I’ve been meaning to write this up. Went back to school in my 50s and came out here for a celebration with just my dog. I had mentioned the graduation and when I arrived, the management had decorated my room and even made me a card they also gave me a bottle of really good red wine.
The perfect place for a quiet getaway. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Ocean Shores. So peaceful and beautiful. The rooms were wonderfully decorated, beds, very comfortable, and a great shower. The rooms have private balconies that overlook the beach.
Getting married at Moonstone Beach Motel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
