Overall, we had a really wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Newport. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience feel relaxing from start to finish.
Stayed here for a long weekend and left already thinking about when I can come back. The location right on the water is obviously a major draw but what surprised me was how well the whole experience came together beyond just the views.
Our family had such a wonderful day at Newport Harbor Island Resort. The property is beautiful, the pool area is relaxing, and everything was clean and well maintained. What really stood out, though, was the outstanding customer service from General Manager John B.
We had a wonderful stay and wanted to recognize Hector who checked us in. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. He made us feel valued as guests and set the tone for an excellent experience from the start.
Getting married at Newport Harbor Island Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
