“I admit to enjoying the beautiful beach location on the lake for its own sake, but the food and drink only added to it.”
From the reviews
We booked Nolan's for my daughter's wedding reception. The view is outstanding, the service was great and the food quality and serving size were both very good. We booked the banquet room for 4 hours and I am so glad we did!! Everyone loved it.
The staff and atmosphere are excellent. I love being so close to the lake while enjoying a meal. Prices are reasonable for the location and the dishes I have had so far have been great.
I had a wonderful experience at Nolan's. It was t a pretty lake day to take advantage of the view but everything else was great. They were short handed and the hostess or manager was waitressing, bussing tables and who knows what else. She did an. excellent job. We ordered the fish a d chips.
It's like being on vacation at an elegant beach get away. Beautiful beach view of Lake Michelle. Our Michigan White Fish was fantastic! Our server was great and friendly. We paid $45 per person, including taxes and tip. We had a fantastic time and will be back again, hopefully soon!
Getting married at Nolan's Restaurant at Illinois Beach Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
