We are so happy we chose NTEC for our wedding venue! This was the best option we found for a lake front venue that was in our budget. And we love Kings Beach and the North Tahoe area, so it worked perfectly. The views are stunning and the terrace worked so well for our 60 person wedding (early June 2025).
We Had our wedding there in May, the venue was awesome well set up staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part. The views and setup were perfect and gorgeously done. A few things I would watch out for if you do have your event here.
I rented out the North Tahoe Event Center (NTEC) for my wedding on 5/28/26 and was so happy with the final product. My wife and I had a dream of getting married in Tahoe but were struggling to find an affordable venue. We then stumbled upon NTEC and decided to tour the venue as it was within our budget.
We got married at the North Lake Tahoe Event Center this summer, and I cannot recommend this venue enough. Cathy and Charlotte did an amazing job coordinating in advance and making our day the very best we could imagine.
Getting married at North Tahoe Event Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
