I recently had my wedding here and I loved it so so so much! Jenny was an absolute gem to work with and she is such a diligent hard worker. No wedding is a wedding without hiccups but they gracefully handled the issues and was very accommodating.
We recently hosted a wedding in Darien and many of our guests stayed at Oaks on the River. Even with a very diverse group with different expectations, Oaks received amazing reviews from our guests. The accommodations were exceptional and the rooms spacious and well appointed.
This is an amazing gem. Staff is helpful and friendly. Salt water pool is gorgeous. Had a balcony room and the view was wonderful. Did not eat here but the dining area had several river view seats. Was relaxing and a wonderful place to spend our anniversary. Price was more than reasonable. Thank you Oaks!

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
