“Simon's is the perfect place to immerse yourself in a gorgeous restorative natural setting.”
“There is a serious mosquito situation on the island, except on the beach or in a skiff, and it is necessary to apply insect repellent whenever you are outside.”
From the reviews
The staff is exemplary and would rival top resort personnel in Germany and Austria. Everyone raves about the food and for good reason — it is fine quality. The environment surrounding the camp/lodge is quite beautiful with abundant birdlife and the assorted alligators and armadillos.
Little St. Simon's is the perfect place to immerse yourself in a gorgeous restorative natural setting. You will literally get away from it all while being spoiled by the staff who prepare and present incredibly delicious meals.
We spent a week on the island and except for the mosquitoes it was wonderful. But being a coastal marsh, some mosquitoes are to be expected. They have many different activities to take part in daily. The staff are outstanding and took care of all our needs.
My husband and I visited Little Saint Simon Lodge in late January 2026. We had a GREAT visit! The naturalists were super engaging; we participated in two outings a day with them. Special hats off to Eva and Adam! We learned about the island, wildlife and plants.
Getting married at The Lodge on Little St. Simons Island
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
