Not the type to usually spring for nicer hotels. Most of the time that I do make the plunge on my trips I find that they just don't do it for me. HOWEVER, This spot is excellent. Wonderful view of the ocean from our spot, beautiful room, comfortable bed, and the landscaping here is the highlight.
We have stayed here several times and keep coming back. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Isabel is an excellent hostess and great communicator. When we had questions, she was quick with helpful responses. We love the location as it allows easy access to Newport, Depoe Bay, and Lincoln City.
We travel the world. This is an extraordinary team of Web designers, communicators, hosts, cooks, and housekeepers, like few we have experienced anywhere. They delivered every step beyond our expectation. The setting near the sandy beach and extremely quiet nights were exemplary.
We booked for one night as we drove south along the coast. We loved it so much we decided to stay an additional night. Facilities are beautiful and very clean. Staff could not be more accommodating. Delicious hot breakfasts. All topped off with a great location with stunning views.
Getting married at Ocean House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
