I had my wedding at the Ortiz Center on November 20, 2021 and it was perfect! The venue is beautiful with a fantastic view. The food was phenomenal. I booked the venue about a year and a half before my wedding and during that time it was a bit difficult to get ahold of anyone - that was my only frustration.
I had the opportunity to meet the author of Coco during a CC Chamber of Commerce dinner! Made in Corpus Christi and I had tables setup during the dinner. It was a beautiful view of the bay and the ships going back and forth. They have several rooms to use as well as an outside sitting area.
They hosted a welcome party for the Texas A&M Maritime Academy Summer Sea Term. Great venue. Very welcoming. Thanks for taking care of our cadets while they were docked there!

Getting married at Ortiz Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
