We had a great stay at Outrigger Kāʻanapali Beach Resort. The rooms feel modern and recently updated, especially compared to the Outrigger in Honolulu, with a noticeably fresher, non-musty smell, improved bathroom and shower infrastructure, and a more comfortable overall layout.
Having been to Maui 7 or 8 times now, this was my first experience as a solo traveller. I knew I would feel safe at this exceptional location. Although this is not a ‘higher end resort’ I found this resort not only met but exceeded my expectations. The staff in all areas were so very friendly and welcoming!
We are so happy that we stayed here for our honeymoon, it could not have been more perfect! We stayed in one of the newer signature suites, and it looked just like the pictures. It was bright, modern, spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The air conditioning was quiet and worked great.
Getting married at OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
