From the reviews
Great hotel with many activities and things to do. I really loved the pool and the water slide. The fake beach and the artificial waterfall were also very nice touches to the natural vibe of the hotel. One downside was that a lot of construction was going on at the time.
Wonderful resort with very friendly and attentive staff! The oceanside view is beautiful! Relaxing poolside is great here especially with the 2 hot tubs, water slide, and poolside food/beverage service. The poolside food and drinks are excellent as well and not crazy expensive.
We’ve really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger. The location is great (right down the street from the night manta ray tours, near quite a few beaches for snorkeling, surfing and more.) and the rooms are nice. Importantly, the beds comfortable! Our kids liked the pool.
Had an amazing trip here. Every employee we came across was super friendly and helpful. The property has a great pool area and we took advantage of the Voyager 47 upgrade that provided a private lounge experience.
Getting married at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
