I normally don’t write reviews, but this one was worth sharing. The room and location were great, but the service was excellent. The staff was patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and gave good recommendations on restaurants and bars.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Bay St Louis. Wonderful local people to meet everywhere. Now, the hotel is a 5 star to my wife and I. We enjoyed the Pearl as soon as we walked through the doors. Friendly, courteous, professional staff awaits you upon entering.
We recently got married in the area and used The Pearl for our wedding hotel blocks, and they were so easy to work with! They were super helpful with setting everything up and getting our welcome bags to guests’ rooms. We’ve stayed here a few times before when visiting Bay St. Louis and it’s always a great experience.
We travel a lot, this hotel raised the bar for our future hotel stays. It was beautifully designed with attention to detail. The King room was spacious with a very comfortable bed with silky linens like “butter.” Bath towels were oversized and plush. Staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. Location was ideal.
Getting married at Pearl Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
