From the reviews
Magical. We will absolutely be staying here again. The outside pool/hot tub/fountains were stunning, and the Yellow Room was in the perfect location to see it all! Very clean and luxurious room with an awesome spa tub and large bed. We also used the bikes on site which was so nice and easy.
Port D’hiver is a beautiful, unique and well maintained property. The exceptional service begins as soon as you make the call to book a room. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. It is truly a special place. We stayed in Walter’s suite which had lovely views in every direction.
We stayed here for a week March-April, fantastic experience, way better than any Hotel. The personal attention & great service is unmatched. Room was great, all the amenities we wanted. Location was great literally steps from the Beach, a restaurant, a market. On site Pool & Hot tub was great as well.
We recently stayed in this property, which was our 7th stay on this beautiful property and always exceeds our expectations. On this stay, we had to spend $175 for chairs, since none were available. As a suggestion, the property may want to keep additional chairs so this doesn’t happen again.
Getting married at Port d'Hiver Bed and Breakfast
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
