From the reviews
I have been here a few times and every time has been wonderful. the rooms are beautiful, very clean, and offer a great view from the screened in porch of the Everglades. My wife and I bring our chihuahua down as well, as it is a pet friendly establishment.
My husband and I love this place. However, if you are looking for something like a Marriott or a Hilton - don't bother. These "condos" are older and can be a bit creaky. However, our place is very clean, comfortable, the staff is amazing and the kindness and generosity are what makes it feel like home away from home.
I was super pleased with this choice of weekend getaway. It was quiet and had a beautiful lake view from porch where I got to watch an alligator swim down the river. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The town is as small and quaint as it gets. Real down home people who are as nice as can they can be.
What a hidden gem! I am Native to Fl and love finding places like this. Cabins were a good size, my family had the 2 bed 2 bath. Loved the carport under each unit. Fishing was great even though it was off the dock. The back porch is so nice to sit out and enjoy the water view...
Getting married at River Wilderness Waterfront Villas
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
