From the reviews
Absolutely stunning resort right on the bay. They have an amazing fitness center with heated pool and hot tub. They also have a terrace deck for beautiful sunsets, and everyone is super friendly. Great restaurants and bars with live music nearby, and beautiful wooded hiking trails right from the property.
After a previous bad experience in a different hotel in the area my travel companion and I were a little nervous about staying in the area again. However, Sandcastle was great!! Had an amazing stay in their suites. Spacious and comfortable. Everything you need for a week stay or longer. Beds were cozy.
The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are comfortable. The place is a bit older than some other Raintree Vacation Club properties, but well maintained had great amenities and the staff is excellent. The location is beach front with a nice pool and hot tub.
A weekend escape to Canada and Birch Bay, Washington, entailed mornings spent on the balcony with coffee, taking in the water vistas and birdlife, and serene evenings witnessing the sunset's splendor. Truly, a destination tailored for unwinding and connecting with nature.
Getting married at Sandcastle At Birch Bay
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
