I'll never stay at another hotel in the Westerly area after my first stay here. Trip Advisor says it's a 2 star hotel, which is a LOT lower than it deserves. The Misquamicut Beach location cannot be beat. The service level is at least 4 star. The beds are really cozy. What more do you need?
I have been staying here for close to 10 years now - the beach and rooms are always clean, you can't beat the views and access to the beach and waves. I stay several times each season with family and friends who agree, you can't beat the mornings and evenings on the deck listening to the waves.
This is the 3rd hotel we've stayed at on Atlantic Ave. in Misquamicut and by far the best! Rooms were much nicer than I expected. The location was perfect for the beach and walking to the restaurants. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The coffee station downstairs was a very nice surprise and added touch!
Amazing beach front property. Easy parking. Easy access to the beach. Walking distance to local shops and food. I have really bad knees, definitely accessible and managable. Quiet and relaxing environment. Staff was very attentive to details and people staying on property.
Getting married at Sandcastle Beachfront Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
